Level 3

After a few more months at level 2, you’ve continued growing in your faith.  You have developed a routine of reading and processing the Bible each day.  You are praying daily.  You are reading and memorizing scriptures.  You’ve had some insightful meetings with your discipleship partner about parts of the Bible that you didn’t understand.  You’ve even discussed some challenging life issues together and been able to apply God’s word to them.  Now you are ready for Level 3!

Now that you have developed trust between you and your discipleship partner, you add a new level of accountability: Confessing sins.  This is perhaps the most difficult part of becoming a true disciple of Jesus.  Confessing sins to each other is necessary if we are going to overcome them.  We don’t confess to one another because we have to, we do it because we know that they can provide us encouragement and accountability to become who God created us to be and move out of the bondage of sin.. This is the most important step in becoming a disciple- repenting of our sins and living a holy lifestyle.

Remember, you are in control of when you move to level 3.
