Our first Community Partner

Now that we are moved into our new location, we have begun to think beyond our own walls at Connection Point Church.  Our goal at CPC is to become a valuable church in our community.  Today, Joey and I met with the Child Advocacy Center of Plano to establish our first “COMMUNITY PARTNER”.  A Community Partner is simply a strategy for making a difference in our community.

Our partnership with the Child Advocacy Center will entail a few different ways to make a difference:

1.  We will become a “Guardian Angel” and support them financially.  Our first commitment is for 5 years.

2. We will actively support their Child Advocacy initiatives, including their Back to School fair and their “adopt – a – child/family” programs.

3. We will provide volunteers for special projects when they are needed.  Our first opportunity to do this will be soon!

4. For those that want to do even more, we will provide our members with the necessary information to become a trained volunteer for the Child Advocacy Center.

I am so excited about this partnership and I am meeting with another community organization on Thursday as well.  I hope that our church will  have our first two Community Partners by the end of this week!
